Find us on MySchools
Every application to a NYC public school goes through MySchools, the Department of Education's enrollment site. Search for P.S. 3 or for our school number, X003.

You can list up to twelve schools in the order you would genuinely want them. Ranking us first does not hurt your chances anywhere else — put schools in true order of preference.
Come and see the building
Call the main office and we will find you a time to visit while the school is running. It is much easier to judge a school you have stood inside.

Who gets a seat first
When more children apply than we have seats, places are offered in this order. Being lower down the list does not mean you will not get in — it depends on how many apply in any given year.
3-K, Pre-K and Kindergarten
- Children living in District 10
- Brothers and sisters of children already at P.S. 3
- Children already in our own Pre-K
- Everyone else who applies
Middle school, grades 6 – 8
- Our own fifth-graders, who continue straight through
- Children living in District 9 and District 10
- Everyone else who applies
